For example, an ITI candidate from the Electrician trade will receive the applicable apprenticeship preference only when the apprenticeship has also been completed in the Electrician trade.
Computer Knowledge
Candidates must have basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Government norms, or possess any recognized diploma, degree or certificate course in computers.
Class 10 or Class 12 candidates having Computer as a subject can also fulfill the computer knowledge requirement.

GSRTC Helper 2026 Job Profile & Salary Details
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a fixed-pay basis.
- Fixed salary: ₹21,100/- per month
- Fixed-pay period: First five years
- No additional allowances or benefits will be payable during the fixed-pay period except those prescribed under applicable rules.
- After satisfactory completion of five years, candidates may become eligible for regular appointment according to the applicable GSRTC pay structure and service conditions.
