Which Stage Matters Most for Final Merit?
One of the most important points in this recruitment is that the Typing Test is qualifying in nature.
The marks obtained in the Typing Test are not added to the final merit calculation. Candidates only need to satisfy the prescribed typing speed and accuracy requirements.
The final merit is based on the marks obtained in:
- Stage II – Shorthand Test
- Stage III – Main Descriptive Examination
- Stage IV – Interview
Therefore, candidates should not spend excessive preparation time trying to increase their typing speed far beyond the qualifying requirement. Once the typing standard is comfortably achieved, greater attention should be given to shorthand accuracy, transcription and descriptive writing.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the tie will be resolved in the following order:
- Higher marks in Stage-II Shorthand Test
- Higher marks in Stage-III Main Descriptive Examination
- Higher marks in Stage-IV Interview
- Older candidate will be preferred
PwBD Candidates – Important Selection Information
The recruitment provides horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates in both SPA and PA posts.
However, the notification specifies that no scribe and no compensatory extra time will be provided to PwBD candidates at any stage of the examination, considering the nature of the duties associated with these posts.
Candidates belonging to PwBD categories should therefore carefully review the conditions mentioned in the official notification before applying.
Documents Required
Candidates should keep the following documents ready as applicable:
- Passport-size colour photographs
- Original valid Photo ID
- Date of Birth proof
- Educational qualification certificates
- Caste/Category Certificate
- OBC-NCL Certificate, where applicable
- EWS Income & Asset Certificate, where applicable
